Collection Ambrotype
Description Torso of seated woman wearing bonnet with long bow and ribbons tied under chin. The bonnet has lace on the interior of the brim, the ribbons have three white stripes running lengthwise on each edge. Large bell sleeves with cuffs of black and white stripes. Her had are clasped togehter in the image. He cheeks are tinted pink. The ambrotype is in an oval black plastic frame with a gold edging at the inside edge. The frame has beading along the outside edge. On the underside of the frame are words "patented Aug. 7, 1855."
Notes The ambrotype was given to the FHS in 1915 by Mrs. J. E. Putnam.
