Collection Ambrotype
Description Ambrotype of man in suit and tie; he has a beard, mustache and unruly hair. The oval brass mat is decorative with curving patterns in the corners. The elaborate Union case is lined with red velvet. On the front of the case there is an oval with a statue of George Washington. There is some relief in the pedestal of the statue. On the top right and left corners are angels with horns; on the bottom right and left corners are eagles above shields with flags in the background. The reverse is the same but the oval is blank.
