Description Engraving owned by Eleanor Norcross. Engraved by J. Kelly 61 Fulton St. N.Y., for the Christian Parlor Magazine
Entitled:
"Benedictine Monks at Their Private Festivites
During Carnival Time"
A small engraving that depicts monks drinking and singing among young women, and perhaps a nun, enjoying the festivies of carnival time. They are in a large room, with a beautiful vaulted ceiling, and a large Gothic window. They chat with each other, play music, and eat around a table, while a small dog begs beside one of the monks.
