Description Elaborately decorated inkwell and pen holder. Square-ish glass inkwell sits in a metal (bronze?) holder with metal lid. Artistic patterns adorn the exposed surfaces of the metal holder.

The accession card indicates that it may have been used by Reverend William Thayer, and orthodox minister and anti-slavery preacher of Franklin, MA.

Stamped on the bottom is: Pat'd Nov. 25, 1879
