Description
A three masted ship fully rigged but lacking sails. Dolfin-striker broken and seemed to have had attempts made to repair it, but still remains hanging precariously. The hull has been carved from an individual piece of wood by Edward D. Whitten and supposedly is a model of the ship he immigrated on from Scotland. The rig is rather intact and in a decorative condition the wheel moves a small amount revealing the use of the steering mechanism. the ship was cmpletely rerigged in 1978 by Roger Hill. The model is a slight exaggeration showing men far oversized and the scale on the ship is off, it is too short for its width and runs too deep, the cabin houses are also too big.
