| Abstract |
The newspaper article states that Mr. John W. Ogden was the founder and proprietor of the Fitchburg Rubber Stamp Works. He also represents some of the largest regalia houses in the country and furnishes badges, charms, pins and goods for secret orders. Mr. Ogden is also proprietor of the famous Washacum Lake picnic grounds which, as every new season approaches, show improvements and additions making it more desirable as a resort for parties.
Mr. Ogden is also prominent in secret orders. In Masonry he is one of the few in this city who have taken the thirty-second degree and is a member of Thomas Royal Arch Chapter, Jerusaleum Commandery, K.T., Hiram Council of Worcester and Aleppo Temple of the Mystic Shrine of Boston. He also stands well in Odd Fellowship, the Red Men, Knights of Pythias and A.O.U.W. He was for some years treasurer of the opera house and is a member of both the Board of Trade and the Merchants' Association. |
