1 newspaper article states that Mr. W.M. Orswell was a well known manufacturer and was connected with the Phoenix Mills in Shirley, Mass. and started a yarn mill. After this, he came to Fitchburg and started the Orswell Mills on River St. There was no finer manufacturing building in this entire city at that time. His experience has made him a manufacturer of the most practical kind, and from cellar to roof there is not a piece of machinery with the working of which he was not familiar. Aside from the Orswell Mills, Mr. Orswell was the treasurer of the mills at Lancaster, Ma. |
