| Description |
The illustrated book by Mary Garfield: Village Blacksmith, a H.W. Longfellow original. Longfellow may be familiar to many for his rhymes from Mother Goose or words of nursery songs. He had the natural gift of rhyme and meter- that followed us through our adult life long after the sense was forgotten. In this particular American scene & landscape genre, authors and artist were carving out a habitation out of the real wilderness and in their fight for independence this type of literature errupted. |
