Description Map of Forest Hill Cemetery in Fitchburg circa 1879. The print shows the approximately 245 acres of ground that makes up the burial ground. The cemetery is laid out with ten "avenues" each named after a different type of tree. There are Chestnut, Pine, Walnut, Magnolia, Maple, Elm, Laurel, Oak, Beech and Spruce avenues which direct one's position in the cemetery.
