Description

| This is a painting, square in shape, of an intricate floral design. The painting mimicks an embroidery in the detailed depiction of flowers with a ring around the outside framing a central bouquet. The flowers are mostly red, blue, and white accented by the varying greenery around them. This work is interesting in that it all painted on the glass of the frame. The glass is painted black to form the 'background' and the all the other colors and shapes are added in the remaining clear spaces of the glass. Finally, the brilliant shimmering of the flowers comes from the aluminum foil that is placed behind the glass to create the dazzling effect of color and shimmer. |
