The cabinet and its contents were given to Robert L. Hunker in the 1960s by the Akron G.A.R. when the meeting chamber was being closed and the chapter was dissolved. Robert L. Hunker received a phone call asking if he would take the cabinet and contents for safekeeping. He of course welcomed all and will remain in the G.A.R. Hall for perpetuity. |
