Bequeathed to Robert L. Hunker by his aunt Ada Hunker Payne, the eldest sister of his father, John D. Hunker. She inherited the collection from the family of her husband, Hugh Fish McKain Payne. They were very involved in the Masonic Lodge and patriotic memorabilia. This was probably bought at a fair or convention. |
