Description 
A guide to Virginia architecture, includes fine examples of each type of structure that has played an important part in the development of building in the State. Works were chosen based on architectural excellence, not historical association. The book is divided into six sections corresponding to six geographic areas of the state. Within these sections, buildings are grouped by counties and towns in alphabetical order. Within each county and town, sites are listed alphabetically by name. Each area includes a brief description, a map, and individual photographs and individual descriptions of each included site. This book also icludes a bibliography, chronological index, and general index.
