Unabridged republication of the original (1908) edition. Fourth of four volumes, this one covering the period 1770-1820. Satinwood was often used in conjunction with mahogany during this period. Includes photographs of japanned cabinets, clothess chests, cupboards, beds, commodes, clocks, mirrors, marble table tops, writing tables, chairs, settees, dressing tables, and tea-caddies. Includes 15 plates, 243 photographs, and index.
