| Mourning card of James Brown that measures 5 1/2" by 3 1/2". In the middle of the card there is a round picture of baby James Brown. On the outside of the card there is tissue paper with an angle on it with the words "In Memoriam" in a circle and further down the card it reads:
Thus still, whene'er the good and just
Close the dim eye on life and pain,
Heaven watches o'er their sleeping dust
Till the pure spirit comes again.
White satin tie holds the tissue paper over the paper mourning card. The card itself reads:
In Loving Remembrance of
James Raymond Brown
Born Jan. 8, 1904--
Died Dec. 4, 1905
Age 1 yr. 10 mo., 26 days
Gone but not forgotten
Dearest Jimmie, thou has left us,
And our loss we deeply feel,
But 'tis God that has berefet us,
He can all our sorrow heal. |
