| Notes |
This dry sink was used in the first residence of David Brown and Dora Welshonse Brown Marks in Acme, Pennsylvania. It went through the explosion of 1908 that killed David and two of his sons, Elroy and Clark. It then moved to Foxtown and last to New Stanton in the kitchen until Marie Boyle Marks resided there with her husband William Franklin Marks and sister-in-law Martha Marks. The dry sink was moved from the kitchen to the dining area when the kitchen was renovated after Dora's death.
David and Dora Brown were Robert L. Hunker's maternal grandparents. William and Marie Boyle Marks were Robert L. Hunker's half uncle and aunt. |
