Description
Quartz crystal also called rock crystal in its colorless form. Quartz is one of the commonest minerals of the earth's crust. It crystallizes directly from igneous magma. Quartz crystals are usually hexagonal and prismatic, terminated by two (positive and negative) rhombohedra resembling hexagonal pyramids. Quartz crystals may occur either in well-formed crystals or in compact and concretionary masses.
